Methodology
Join only compatible, explicit dimensions
The matrix validates both summary schemas and registry versions, then joins exact normalized site and path keys within the stated period. It reports aligned, crawler-only, referral-only, rejected, and unknown coverage without merging their denominators.
Limitations
Temporal proximity is not causation
A page can be crawled and later receive a referral without one event causing the other. The matrix does not reveal hidden Direct traffic, citations, training use, influence, or user journeys that are absent from the supplied summaries.
